The Utalii Africa Tourism Expo™ is proud to announce the opening of media accreditation for National, Regional, and International media houses and freelance journalists interested in covering this prestigious event. The Expo, a key platform for showcasing Africa's vibrant tourism sector, will bring together stakeholders from across the globe to explore business opportunities, investments, trade, trends, and innovations in tourism.
1. Eligibility for Media Accreditation
Accreditation is open to members of the press, journalists, photographers, videographers, and media representatives from recognized national, regional, and international media outlets. This includes print, digital, broadcast, and online platforms with a strong focus on tourism, travel, hospitality, investment and related industries.

International Media Meeting Centre
The International Media Meeting Centre (IMMC) at UATE 2025, serves as a dedicated hub for all accredited media houses covering the event. Designed to foster collaboration and streamline communication, the IMMC provides journalists, reporters, and content creators with a central location to access essential resources, conduct interviews, and engage with key stakeholders in the tourism and hospitality sectors.
Equipped with high-speed internet, meeting rooms, and press kits, the centre ensures that media professionals can efficiently produce high-quality content throughout the event. Additionally, the IMMC offers a unique space for networking, allowing media representatives to connect with industry leaders, exhibitors, and fellow journalists, while staying updated on the latest event developments. It’s the go-to place for media to access exclusive updates, arrange one-on-one interviews, and capture the essence of UATE firsthand.
FAM Trip for the Press
The FAM (Familiarization) Trip for the Press at UATE 2025 offers accredited media houses an exclusive opportunity to explore key tourism destinations, services, and attractions in the region before the expo kicks off. Tailored specifically for journalists and content creators, the FAM Trip allows media representatives to experience firsthand the unique tourism products, from luxury hotels and cultural sites to adventure tourism and eco-tourism hotspots.
Logistical Support
Transport: airport transfer, shuttle from Hotel to Venue, Accommodation & breakfast
This immersive experience not only provides valuable content for pre-event coverage but also helps the press gain in-depth insights into the destination, enriching their reporting. Participants will have the chance to connect with local tourism boards, operators, and influencers, ensuring they can provide authentic, informed stories to their audiences. 3. How to Apply
Media houses wishing to cover the Utalii Africa Tourism Expo™ should submit their application through our official accreditation portal. The application will require details such as the applicant's role, publication or channel, and intended coverage. Once approved, media representatives will receive their accreditation badges and further event instructions.
4. Deadline for Apply
The deadline for media accreditation is May 30th 2025. We encourage early application to ensure your participation in all key aspects of the event.
4. Validation of Requirements
Utali EventsCo Africa Limited and the Organizing Committee of Utalii Africa Tourism Expo (UATE 2025), reserves the right to request the following validations before granting accreditation: Recognised Media House, Press Card, Letter of assignment to cover UATE 2025 on official letterhead from the Editor or Bureau Chief. Freelance travel writers may be requested to provide 5 by line editorial stories covered since January 1st 2025.
